Ray J. è un 27enne meglio conosciuto per essere il fratellino piccolo della multi platinum star Brandy! Ray purtroppo è sempre rimasto nell’ombra della talentuosa sorellona, tuttavia negli ultimi anni ha piazzato qualche hit qua e la sparsa nelle chart. Mi ricordo molto bene “One Wish” del CD del 2005 Raydiation, il singolo si piazzo molto bene nella chart R&B alla numero 3, e peakko alla numero 11 della top100 singoli americani! Mi piaceva veramente molto quel pezzo… ma l’album floppo, piazzandosi solo alla 48 :(

“Sexy Can I” è il nuovo singolo, e video, in collaborazione con uno dei rapper più sorprendenti del 2007, Yung Berg, la canzone… è sorprendentemente carina, e spero che diventi una nuova hit per lui. Tuttavia non credo mai potrà upgradare ai livelli di Chris Brown, Mario, o Trey Songz… ha ancora da lavorare moltissimo, ed il fatto che sia su un’etichetta indie complica parecchio le cose. L’album dovrebbe uscire nelle prime settimane di Aprile... stiamo a vedere come andrà questo giro per lui :P
