CD della Settimana: Rihanna - Good Girl Gone Bad
In largo anticipo finalmente posso farvi la recensione del 3° CD di Rihanna, che rappresenta anche una svolta nel sound, e una vera e propria maturazione per questa artista caraibica (originaria delle Barbados e scoperta da Jay-Z).
Rihanna sta veramente intaccando radio, televisioni, negli States, con la sua canzone tormentone dell’estate 2007 “Umbrella”, e anche qua da noi si sta espandendo grandiosamente nelle radio! Lucky, è veramente l’aggettivo per lei, fortunatissima questa ragazza, ottimo management, grande presenza, e soprattutto canzoni che nemmeno due volte che ascolti te le ritrovi a canticchiarle come un pirla, “SOS”, “Umbrella”, “Pon Da Replay”…., ma anche estremamente karismatica, infatti i fans sono aumentati moltissimo ad ogni suo lavoro.
Parliamo di “Good Girl Gone Bad”, la miscela e la varietà di questo CD sono il punto forte, infatti questa volta Ms. Sunshine ha avuto dalla sua una varietà di produttori molto noti al momento, compreso il grande Timbo, lo sforna hit Ne-Yo, e anche producers più innovativi e meno conosciuti.
La tendenza è chiara, Rihanna non possiamo etichettarla come un’artista R&B, o meglio, sarebbe riduttivo per lei, e non possiamo nemmeno più pensare di ascoltare delle hit dal flavour “dancehall” come poteva essere “Pon Da Replay”, ma le sonorità di Riri fondono Glam-Rock, Pop purissimo, R&B, musica caraibica, elettronica.. insomma una completezza che la rende veramente una delle ragazze più lanciate al momento! SensaZionalE!
Le traccie, stupende a mio parere “Umbrella”, “Breakin’ Dishes”, “Shut Up And Drive”, la prima decisamente “tormentosa” anche se all’inizio non mi piaceva molto, la seconda… che dire anche questa molto forte e penetrante, Shut Up invece … molto rock, molto (Pink-Style), ma decisamente si sposa bene con la voce di Riri!
Poi abbiamo altre belle traccie, una notevole up-tempo, “Push Up On Me”, e “Dont’ Stop The Music” con un flav molto elettronico. Ritorno al passato con la bella “Lemme Get That”, e stupenda timbo production slow song chiamata “Rehab”.
Io a questo punto oserei paragonare Riri a Britney, e vi dirò che la musica, i modi, e la carriera, mi fanno dire che “Riri… è la Brit dei caraibi”….

A me piacciono TUTTE! tranne Don’t Stop The Music e Lemme Get That che non mi fanno proprio impazzire…per il resto ALBUM STUPENDO! Riri si riconferma ancora come la mia cantante preferitaaa!!!
