Il singolo che vede la collaborazione tra due delle miglior voci del secolo scorso (e di questo?).
A me il pezzo piace moltissimo, sopratutto la versione del film che è meno pop di quella che tutti conoscono.
Stranamente questo singolo fu un mezzo flop, numero 15 nella Hot 100 (quando sulla carta era una hit sicura).
Cmq il pezzo girò molto in radio e in tv, in Italia (arrivò alle #3).
Ho letto che ci sono comunque state delle controversie:
Carey had been in disagreement with the producers of The Prince of Egypt as she wanted to be involved in the writing and production of the song, but the producers did not want her to.
Conflict also arose between Stephen Schwartz and Babyface after Schwartz left Babyface's name off the submission sheet for the Academy Awards when the song had been nominated for "Best Original Song". Schwartz had argued that Babyface should not receive Oscar credit as his version of the song (with Carey and Houston) contained additional musical elements (such as the new bridge) which had not been part of the original as heard in the film. Carey and Houston performed Babyface's version of the song live at the Academy Awards ceremony in 1999; however, only Schwartz was awarded the Oscar.
Le due si sono esibite solo due volte con la canzone, almeno credo.La prima volta da Oprah, e la seconda agli Oscars dove la canzone vinse.

La Houston, stranamente, non ha incluso il duetto nel su GH dove però ha messo di tutto e di più..
