The announcement of the new tour dates coincides with her appearance on BET's 106 & Park today where she will discuss what fans can expect from the upcoming tour, and reflect on her previous groundbreaking tours including Rhythm Nation 1814. | Niente tour in Europa quindi? Janet Jackson has aired her frustrations with Island Def Jam, whom she claims is no longer supporting her label debut, "Discipline." The album has sold 392,000 copies in the United States since its February release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Jackson told SOHH.com that Island discontinued promoting "Discipline" after her single, "Rock With U," failed to chart. Additional friction apparently resulted from Island also releasing "LUV" as a single, despite Jackson's wish that "LUV" be worked on its own. "Luv" peaked at No. 34 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, while the first single released from the new album, "Feedback," reached No. 39. In a statement released exclusively to Billboard, an Island Def Jam spokesperson says, "Unfortunately we haven't experienced the results we would have liked with this new album. But we respect and support Janet." Jackson further claimed that due to dwindling label support, she won't be able to visit Europe as part of her upcoming Live Nation-promoted Rock Witchu tour, which begins Sept. 7 in Vancouver. | Purtroppo le strutture sono quelle che sono, e il "problema" con questo tipo di concerti (e lo stesso vale per Madonna) è che hanno bisogno di palazzetti adatti. Se fosse un concerto "normale" potrebbe farlo un pò ovunque invece!

| Janet Jackson will be starring in an MTV reality show, it was announced today. Ugh. We have mixed feelings about this. We don't really like reality, but we do heart Janet. The untitled project, which has already started casting, will feature Miz J as she mentors a group of aspiring singers and dancers. The project will be shot in the coming months as Jackson prepares for her world tour. One of the show's exec producers says, "It's really about finding who's the next Janet Jackson or Justin Timberlake or Usher. And we'll find it from a pool of people who you wouldn't typically find it from. We'll go to YMCAs, church groups, local community centers and try to cast the show."
