Il famoso dj J.Period, ke ha già lavorato per artisti cm Lauryn Hill e Nas, sta preparando un mega mixtape da 3 compilation per la queen. Pare ke la Geffen sia interessata a questo progetto e voglia investire in esso. All' interno del mixtape, intitolato semplicemente The Best Of Mary J Blige saranno contenuti classici d Mary, pezzi unreleased, interviste, remix d J Period e nuove traccie registrate per il progetto. All' interno del mixtape compariranno anke Alicia Keys, Les Nubians, MC Lyte, Q-Tip, Talib Kweli, CL Smooth, Mister Cee, and Big Daddy Kane. Qui è anke possibile ascoltare un trailer d 10 minuti. Per ora nulla è confermato, ma la notizia a qnt pare è molto + d un rumor. Ecco la copertina

| Keyshia si ispira ancora a Mary per il prossimo album Cole has in many ways followed the path of one of her influences -- Mary J. Blige. "If I could walk in her footsteps just a quarter of the mile that she has already walked, it would be a blessing fulfilled" says Cole. Just like Mary did when she introduced us to "The Breakthrough" a few years back, Keyshia says its time for something different when it comes to her forthcoming album. "It's time to lighten up and have a good time for this album" says the Grammy-nominated singer.
