Come promesso, Ryan Tedder non ha smesso di fare musica e con i One Republic continua a lavorare a singoli di successo!
Questa volta si tratta di un brano che farà parte della colonna sonora del film An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power, che arriverà nelle sale il 28 luglio.

Quando Al Gore e il produttore T Bone Burnett stavano lavorando a questo nuovo progetto, avevano bisogno di qualcuno che si occupasse della colonna sonora. Ryan Tedder non sembrava essere la scelta più ovvia tra i numerosi candidati presi in considerazione per il seguito del documentario sul riscaldamento globale del 2007.
Eppure il frontman dei OneRepublic ha subito compreso l’importanza del film e del tema trattato, creando con Burnett un brano profondo in stile retrò che trasmette un messaggio di coraggio e volontà di contribuire alla soluzione del problema del cambiamento climatico.
Il brano è stato scritto in poco più di mezz’ora da Ryan Tedder e registrato negli United Studio di Los Angeles. Riguardo alla canzone l’autore ha dichiarato:
“Volevo prendermi una pausa dalle canzoni scritte su me stesso. Così ho guardato le cose dal punto di vista di Madre Terra rivolta verso coloro che l’avrebbero tradita ed è nata “Truth To Power”.
