Il cantante americano Austin Mahone ritorna in scena con un nuovo brano rilasciato qualche tempo fa. Il pezzo si intitola “Send It” ed è una delle tante canzoni che il giovane talento aveva fatto ascoltare qualche tempo fa tramite una diretta Facebook (QUI per approfondire), brani che a questo punto potrebbero essere rilasciati nelle prossime settimane. Il pezzo è stato rilasciato sia sui canali di streaming che su iTunes, tuttavia non sappiamo se sarà il vero lead single del suo album oppure un buzz. (QUI per saperne di più sul suo comeback).
“Sent It” è una traccia catchy dal sound spensierato e leggero, una midtempo ispirata chiaramente ai sound in voga nel decennio scorso, nel periodo in cui Austin e tutti gli altri nati degli anni ’90 sono cresciuti. Il timbro bello e fresco del ragazzo riecheggia con serenità e spensieratezza per tutta la durata del brano, alternato alle parti del featured artist scelto. E’ una scelta abbastanza insolita per un artista della “nuova generazione”, non è quello che va attualmente, ma non è la prima volta che Austin si rifà a sonorità del passato.
Sicuramente non un pezzo fortissimo, ma comunque una bella canzone che riesce a farsi apprezzare e ad accrescere l’hype di chi aspetta il primo disco di questo talentuoso cantante. Da notare la citazione della smash hit “Hotline Bling”. Di seguito il file audio:
