Non manca molto al rilascio di ‘Beautiful Lies’, terza fatica discografica di Birdy in uscita il 25 marzo.
La giovane cantautrice inglese ha inaugurato il nuovo anno con il primo singolo estratto dal progetto, ‘Keeping Your Head Up’, brano con il quale fin da subito confermato la sua volontà di spaziare attraverso sound diversi dai suoi soliti. ‘Keeping Your Head Up’ è stato seguito qualche settimana fa dal singolo promozionale, nonché title track dell’album, ‘Beautiful Lies’, che al contrario presenta similitudini con il genere prevalentemente malinconico di ‘Fire Within’.
Ora, con la pubblicazione di ‘Wild Horses’, secondo singolo promozionale, le cose si fanno davvero interessanti e cresce l’attesa per quello che si preannuncia essere l’album della totale maturazione artistica di questa giovane e talentuosa artista. ‘Wild Horses’ è un‘intensa midtempo dal ritornello forte ed efficace che resta in testa al primo ascolto. Ottima la produzione del pezzo, ottimo il testo scritto da Birdy, che parla di una ragazza stanca di rincorrere che ad un certo punto decide di fare retromarcia ed andare per la sua strada, cosciente della sua forza.
‘Wild Horses’ è già acquistabile negli store digitali e, nel frattempo, proprio oggi è stato rilasciato anche il video ufficiale, nel quale vediamo la ragazza nelle epiche vesti di una sirena, sotto un cielo stellato in un’atmosfera magica, fiabesca ed ipnotica. ‘Wild Horses’ è un brano che cattura e questo video gli calza davvero a pennello, giudicate voi.
