Una delle rockband più forti degli anni ’90 e 2000 è finalmente tornata in scena! Dopo anni e anni di assenza, i grandi Blink 182 ritornano finalmente fra di noi con un nuovo singolo, un brano preannunciato da qualche giorno sui social ma rilasciato comunque con un po’ di anticipo rispetto a quanto comunicato.
Il nuovo singolo del gruppo si intitola “Bored to Death, e si tratta di una grintosa e travolgente up tempo pop-rock con chiari richiami al punk, insomma proprio il tipo di musica a cui questi ragazzi ci hanno sempre abituato. Chitarre, batterie e rullante si lanciano decise mentre la voce del leader del gruppo si scatena in tutta la sua potenza ed energia, lasciandoci letteralmente senza fiato e facendoci sentire come se fossimo ancora nel 2005.
La passione e la grinta messa nella musica per i Blink non cala mai, e questa traccia è una nuova bomba servita su un piatto d’argento per gli amanti di questo stile. Ora come ora ci auguriamo di trovarci presto dinanzi ad una grande hit che riporti indietro le lancette dell’orologio e regali loro un successo alla “All the Small Things”.
Oltre a pubblicare il brano, i ragazzi hanno reso note anche alcune info sull’album, il quale sarà infatti intitolato “California” e vanterà una copertina realizzata in stile cartoon rappresentante un teschio che guida un’automobile ed una donna-passeggero che gli urla contro. Che dire, i cari vecchi Blink sono tornati proprio in un periodo di assoluta moria per gli amanti del rock più giovane e leggero, e noi speriamo che possano anticipare il ritorno in scena di altre band, come i Green Day.
