Ludacris Ft. Monica – Ocean Skies | Nuova Canzone

Attualmente Monica è in studio di registrazione per dare il tocco finale al suo nuovo disco di prossima uscita. Il fatto che compaia nel nuovo album di Ludacris ha una sua chiave di lettura. Di solito questo è uno dei tanti modi per annunciare il suo rientro in scena,  un ritorno imminente ed io (ovviamente) oltre ad esserne fiero, non vedo l’ora di stringere tra le mani il suo nuovo progetto. 

“Ocean Skies” vede collaborare nuovamente i due artisti dopo l’esperienza di “Can’t Live With You”, canzone contenuta nel disco di Ludacris “Battle of the Sexes”, pubblicato nel 2010. Una cooperazione che si rinnova abbiamo detto, disponibile nel nuovo progetto discografico del Rapper Statunitense, in uscita il 30 Marzo 2015.

Il compito di “Ludaversal” (al suo interno troviamo tra gli altri collaborazioni con Usher, CeeLo Green e John Legend) è quello di riprendersi la popolarità ottenuta nel 2003 da “Stand Up”, una canzone contenuta nel quarto album “Chicken & Beer”,  prodotto da Kanye West e co-prodotta dallo stesso Ludacris.

Fu la prima canzone di Ludacris ad arrivare nella prima posizione della Billboard 100 diventando il brano di maggior successo nel mondo nel 2003.

Ovviamente prima di preparare questo post ho ascoltato il disco e volutamente evito di dare impressioni in merito, rimettendo a voi le vostre impressioni. Per cui evidenzio un dato che la dice lunga sul suo curriculum. Ludacris ha venduto 15 milioni di dischi negli Stati Uniti e 20 milioni in tutto il mondo. È uno dei pochi rapper ad avere più singoli nella 1ª posizione della Billboard Hot 100.
