Sempre al centro dell’attenzione, Justin Bieber stupisce tutti con una collaborazione con Post Malone, cantante, chitarrista, e produttore emergente americano. Il singolo si intitola Deja Vu, e sarà di estrema importanza per l’album di debutto di Malone “Stoney“, che vedrà la luce verso la fine di quest’anno sotto la popolare Republic Records, che ha garantito il successo a numerosi artisti come Ariana Grande, Drake e Nicki Minaj.
La data di uscita del singolo è imminente. Si parla del 9 settembre come data di rilascio sia sugli store digitali sia sulle più famose piattaforme streaming. La scelta di Bieber non è dunque casuale data la grande popolarità della star canadese in questo periodo. Il cantante di Sorry può infatti vantare ben 2 hit in classifica, Cold Water e Let Me Love You, in aggiunta, ovviamente, ai primi 3 singoli estratti da Purpose ( QUI per la recensione) che hanno raggiunto il primo posto in classifica in tutto il mondo.
Il brano è una mid tempo molto orecchiabile, che potrebbe funzionare in classifica. La base è minimal ma sa creare un’atmosfera abbastanza intrigante, soprattutto nelle parti di Malone, che rivela buone doti vocali nella traccia. Lo stesso discorso non può essere fatto per Bieber, il cui apporto rende anzi più piatta la traccia, che in via definitiva non riesce dunque a conquistarci. Vedremo quali risultati riuscirà ad ottenere e se si rivelerà la prima hit mondiale di Malone: vista la presenza di Bieber, questo non è assolutamente da escludere.

Ricordiamo che i due avevano già fatto parlare a causa di uno spiacevole evento in cui Bieber spense una sigaretta sul braccio dell’amico (QUI per approfondire). L’avvenimento fu definito un semplice scherzo fra ragazzi, ma fece discutere per via del lancinante dolore che una bruciatura di sigaretta, la cui entità è ben nota sia da chi ha un minimo di conoscenza dell’esatto fenomeno fisico che da chi, suo malgrado, l’ha sperimentata. Che questa mossa sia stata architettata per pubblicizzare il singolo? Voi che ne pensate?
