Oltre Tinashe, anche un altro grande talento dell’R&B emerso negli ultimi anni dopo una hit fortunata inizia ad “apparecchiare la tavola” per prepararsi alla pubblicazione di un nuovo album, nel suo caso del suo primo album ufficiale. Parliamo di Sevyn Streeter, talento scoperto da Chris Brown che proprio insieme a lui ottenne la hit che le ha permesso di lanciare la sua carriera, la bellissima “It Won’t Stop”.
Il nuovo singolo di Sevyn si intitola “Prolly” ed è interpretato in collaborazione con il rapper Gucci Mane. Ci troviamo davanti ad una travolgente traccia urban, una produzione bomba con un sound caotico ma travolgente, segue l’ascoltatore facendo sì che possa abituarsi alle sue atmosfere per poi scaraventarlo in un ritmo molto potente in cui la voce di Sevyn imperversa, decisa e sensuale, con una grinta davvero imponente. Un pezzo sicuramente molto forte, che ha tutte le carte in regola per ottenere successo nel suo ambito. E’ questo il tipo di pezzo che ci sarebbe piaciuto ascoltare da una come Rihanna, che anni fa ci fece emozionare con Rated R.
Il pezzo dopo qualche ascolto diventa una vera droga. La produzione è ricca, corposa, il ritmo inizialmente è lento ma poi si fa sempre più concitato, e l’atmosfera generale è veramente efficace, a nostro avviso giusta per ottenere il sostegno delle radio urban. In questo sarà aiutata anche dalla scelta del featured artist, da sempre apprezzato e seguito dalle emittenti radiofoniche, il rapper Gucci Mane. Di seguito l’audio della traccia.
