Con l’ottava (su 8) settimane alla 1 della Billboard Hot 100 “Hello” di Adele supera il suo primato personale di “Rolling In The Deep” che nel 2011 governò la chart americana per sette settimane. Adesso verrà il difficile però per “Hello” che ormai vede alle sue spalle sempre più minacciosa “Sorry” di Justin Bieber. Nello streaming infatti Bieber con il suo singolo è a 23,7 mln di streams davanti per la prima volta ad “Hello” scesa a 21,6 mln (-18%). Adele mantiene il primato grazie alle vendite (153.000 downloads contro i 104.000 di Bieber) e grazie alle radio (170 mln vs 142 mln). Vedremo chi la spunterà nella settimana natalizia? il duello è aperto.
Justin e Adele si godono intanto la loro multi-presenza nella Hot 100, in particolare Bieber conferma il trio di singoli in top 5, “Love Yourself” è salita alla 4 superando la ‘sorella’ “What Do You Mean” (alla 5). Adele invece risale dalla 78 alla 55 con il secondo singolo “When We We’re Young”.
Stritolato tra questi due fuochi troviamo Drake che resiste alla grande con “Hotline Bling” (13 settimane alla 1 nella Rap Songs Chart). Continua a salire Selena Gomez con “Same Old Love”, il brano raggiunge la sesta posizione della classifica (+3 rispetto alla settimana scorsa) ed eguaglia così due hits della Gomez come “Come And Get It” e “The Heart Wants What It Wants”. Riuscirà a raggiungere la top 5 come “Good For You”? Forse, “What Do You Mean” sembra superabile.Intanto il nuovo singolo di Selena “Hands To Myself” sale alla 62.
The Weeknd raggiunge la 44 settimana consecutiva in top 10 con i suoi singoli. Questa settimana è alla 7 con “The Hills” e alla 12 con “in The Night”, pronta a portare avanti la permanenza in top 10. La prossima artista da superare è Rihanna che tra il 2010 e il 2011 rimase 46 settimane in top 10 consecutivamente. Alessia Cara è alla 8 con “Here” seguita da “Stitches” di Shawn Mendes e “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” di Meghan Trainor.
