Shawn Mendes – Stitches | Video Premiere

Shawn Mendes è un ragazzo canadese di 16 anni che dopo aver riscosso un successo incredibile sulla piattaforma video-sharing Vine, è riuscito ad ottenere un contratto da Universal, ed ora sta provando a sfondare nel mondo della musica.

Il suo primo singolo, “Life Of The Party”, lanciato nel 2013, è stato accolto molto bene in Canada. A questo sono seguiti il rilascio di un EP e di un album, “Handwritten”, di cui fa parte il pezzo “Stitches”, performato in versione acustica da Good Morning America, e singolo promozionale dal suo album.

La canzone è una ballata pop-country scritta dallo stesso Mendes, e parla del tentativo di superare una storia d’amore finita male e che ha portato a conseguenze devastanti.

Il cantante sta cercando sicuramente di ampliare il proprio pubblico con questa performance, tra l’altro è sbarcato anche da poco nelle radio nostrane.

Shawn sta per tornare con una nuova versione del video di “Stitches”. Se nel primo edit il ragazzo era assente, conquistata una maggiore notorietà (il suo album “Handwritten” ha debuttato alla 1 in Billboard 200) ora Mendes vorrebbe “metterci la faccia”. E così ecco arrivare un teaser di una nuova versione del video. Devo dire che questo pezzo mi piace tantissimo, non vedo l’ora di vedere questa nuova clip:
