Lady Gaga ha spiegato sui social il significato dietro alla canzone Applause
“Applause” è una canzone molto significativa per me, perché affronta ciò che molti pensano delle “celebrità” di oggi, ovvero che “lo facciamo” per l’attenzione. Ma alcuni di noi sono “artisti” in questo gruppo chiamato “celebrità” e ciò che creiamo non vive se non c’è un pubblico che lo ricorda.
Quindi, all’inizio potrei aver bisogno della vostra attenzione per potervi cantare la mia canzone. Ma sono gli “applausi” successivi a farmi capire se vi ho intrattenuto. L’intrattenimento rende felici le persone, io vivo per gli “applausi”, per sapere di averli diffusi. Vivo per sentirvi applaudire, per essere parte di questo.
